Ribolla Gialla, a rare grape variety, is also called Rebula, mainly in Slovenia, and even Ribuele. These are officially recognized synonyms by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine).
The wine produced with Ribolla Gialla is lightly bodied and very rich in acidity. The aromas are complex, mostly associated with citrus fruits, with floral notes and eventually even notes of nuts and chestnuts as the wine ages.
